The Procurement Officer is responsible for sourcing and purchasing goods and services in a timely, cost-effective, and compliant manner. The role involves supplier management, quotation evaluation, purchase order processing, inventory coordination, and maintaining accurate procurement records.

Key Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on price, quality, delivery, and reliability.
- Obtain and compare quotations from approved and potential suppliers.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other commercial conditions.
- Prepare and process purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and related procurement documents.
- Monitor purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and resolve delivery, quality, and pricing issues.
- Coordinate with Finance, Stores/Warehouse, Operations, and other departments to understand purchasing requirements.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, approval procedures, and applicable regulations.
- Maintain an updated supplier database and procurement documentation.
- Track procurement costs and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvement.
- Support supplier performance evaluations and periodic vendor reviews.
- Prepare procurement reports, including purchase status, savings, supplier performance, and outstanding orders.
- Ensure proper documentation for audits and maintain confidentiality of commercial information.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
- Professional certification in procurement/supply chain is an advantage.
- 2–5 years of relevant procurement experience, preferably in a similar industry.
