Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented **Finance Manager – Business Finance & Control** to lead the organization's finance function. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, profitability analysis, statutory compliance, taxation, cash flow management, and financial planning. In addition to ensuring financial accuracy and regulatory compliance, the candidate will act as a strategic business partner by providing actionable financial insights, improving operational efficiency, and driving sustainable business growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Management & Accounting
* Manage the overall finance and accounting function of the organization.
* Ensure accurate maintenance of books of accounts and timely financial closures.
* Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
* Establish and maintain strong financial controls and governance practices.
* Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and fixed asset accounting.
2. Business Finance & P&L Management
* Develop and manage business-wise and department-wise Profit & Loss statements.
* Monitor revenue, operating costs, margins, and overall profitability.
* Perform financial analysis to identify business trends, risks, and opportunities.
* Provide financial insights to support strategic business decisions.
3. Budgeting, Forecasting & Cash Flow Management
* Prepare annual budgets and rolling financial forecasts.
* Monitor budget versus actual performance and recommend corrective actions.
* Manage organizational cash flow and working capital effectively.
* Improve receivables management and optimize payment cycles.
4. Cost Management
* Monitor operating expenses across business functions.
* Identify opportunities for cost optimization and operational efficiency.
* Recommend process improvements to enhance financial performance.
5. Compliance & Audit
* Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF, ESI, and other statutory regulations.
* Coordinate statutory, internal, and tax audits.
* Ensure timely filing of statutory returns and regulatory reports.
* Maintain compliance with applicable financial and corporate governance standards.
6. MIS & Financial Reporting
* Develop and publish monthly MIS reports and management dashboards.
* Track and report Revenue, Profitability, Budget vs Actual Performance, Receivables & Collections, Department-wise Expenses, Business & Project Profitability, and Key Financial & Operational KPIs.
* Present financial reports and actionable insights to senior management.
* Support leadership with data-driven recommendations for business growth.
Qualifications & Skills:
* Chartered Accountant (CA) is preferred.
* CMA, MBA (Finance), or M.Com with strong relevant experience may also be considered.
* 7–10 years of experience in Finance and Accounts.
* Experience in Technology, IT Services, SaaS, Telecom, CPaaS, or other high-growth organizations is preferred.
* Demonstrated experience managing the complete finance function independently.
* Exposure to financial planning, business finance, and organizational scaling is an added advantage.
* Strong knowledge of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Accounting, Financial Reporting, Budgeting, Forecasting, and P&L Management.
* Experience in Cash Flow Management, Working Capital Management, Cost Optimization, Taxation, Statutory Compliance, and Audit Management.
* Hands-on experience with ERP systems, Accounting Software, Advanced Excel, and Financial Modelling.
* Strong analytical, leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Candidate:
* Proven ability to independently manage end-to-end finance operations.
* Strong commercial acumen with a business partnering mindset.
* Experience in building scalable financial processes and governance frameworks.
* Ability to interpret financial data and provide strategic recommendations to leadership.
* Self-driven professional with excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
