Job Summary
The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving business growth by identifying new market opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, acquiring new clients, and expanding existing customer relationships. The role involves leading sales initiatives, developing business strategies, and achieving revenue targets while managing a team of business development executives and sales professionals.
Key Responsibilities
Business Growth & Strategy
- Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve company growth objectives.
- Identify new business opportunities, markets, and customer segments.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline.
Client Acquisition & Relationship Management
- Generate and convert high-value leads into long-term customers.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
- Lead client meetings, presentations, and negotiations.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
Sales Management
- Set sales targets and monitor team performance against KPIs.
- Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and business reports.
- Oversee proposal development, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations.
- Drive revenue growth and profitability.
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the business development team.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching for continuous improvement.
- Coordinate with marketing, operations, and product teams to support business objectives.
- Foster a results-oriented and customer-focused culture.
Reporting & Analysis
- Track sales performance and business development metrics.
- Prepare regular reports for senior management.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Management, or a related field.
- MBA or equivalent qualification is preferred.
- 5–10 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management.
- Proven track record of achieving revenue and growth targets.
- Experience in team management and leadership roles.
