Omnio is a proactive AI wellness app. Instead of waiting for you to open it, Omnio reaches out at the right moments through two distinct AI companions: Tedd, a lifestyle coach who keeps you moving and motivated, and Claudia, an AI therapist built for real, adaptive conversations. We ingest signals from wearables and daily life, detect when something is off, and nudge people toward better habits before things go sideways, not after.
We are early, and the engineering surface is wide open: agent orchestration, a memory layer, wearable data pipelines, and the app itself. You would be one of the first engineers shaping how all of it fits together.
The Role
We are looking for an AI Full Stack Engineer who is comfortable moving across the whole stack: the agent and LLM layer, the backend services behind it, and the product surface users actually touch. You will work directly with the founders and alongside our core engineer to take features from idea to shipped.
This is a build role, not a maintenance role. You will own meaningful pieces end to end, make architecture calls, and ship fast in a space where reliability and trust genuinely matter.
What You Will Do
- Build and orchestrate agentic workflows with LangGraph and MCP tool orchestration that power Tedd and Claudia.
- Develop the proactive engine: ingest wearable signals (HealthKit and Apple Watch), run anomaly detection, and trigger the right nudge at the right time.
- Work on the memory layer that lets our AI companions remember context and stay coherent across conversations.
- Build the therapeutic and coaching conversation layers, including adaptive persona behavior and conversational state machines.
- Own backend services and APIs that tie the AI layer to the app.
- Contribute to the product surface (mobile and web) so features ship complete, not just as backend demos.
- Set up the practical foundations: evaluation, observability, and prompt and agent iteration loops.
What We Are Looking For
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and the ability to work across the stack, from backend services to a working UI.
- Hands-on experience building LLM-powered or agentic applications, ideally with frameworks like LangGraph or LangChain.
- Solid Python, plus comfort in TypeScript or a modern frontend or mobile stack.
- Experience integrating and orchestrating tools, APIs, and external data sources.
- The judgment to build responsibly in a sensitive category (mental health and wellness), where correctness, safety, and tone matter.
- A scrappy, ownership-driven mindset: you can scope, build, and ship without heavy process.
Nice to Have
- Experience with retrieval, vector search, or hybrid RAG (pgvector, BM25, re-ranking).
- Familiarity with wearable or health data (HealthKit, time-series signals, anomaly detection).
- Voice AI or real-time interaction experience.
- Mobile app experience (React Native or native iOS).
- Prior early-stage or founding-engineer experience.
