Role Overview
We are seeking a high-caliber Senior Civil Engineer to lead our project execution team in Ahmedabad. This role is designed for a seasoned professional capable of bridging the gap between design and physical execution while maintaining rigorous standards for safety, quality, and timelines. You will be responsible for overseeing site operations and mentoring junior staff to ensure project excellence.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Engineer, you will transition from assisting to taking full ownership of the construction lifecycle:
- Project Leadership: Supervise overall site progress, ensuring all work strictly adheres to structural drawings and architectural specifications.
- Advanced Planning & Surveying: Lead quantity surveying efforts, including complex material take-offs, cost estimation, and budget management.
- Quality Assurance & Compliance: Implement and enforce strict quality control protocols for all incoming materials and on-site construction practices.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact between architects, clients, subcontractors, and government bodies to resolve technical and logistical bottlenecks.
- Reporting & Analytics: Oversee the generation of Daily Progress Reports (DPR) and Weekly Progress Reports (WPR), using data to forecast potential delays or budget overruns.
- Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and performance reviews for Junior Engineers and site trainees.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering; M.Tech in Construction Management is a plus.
- Technical Proficiency: * Expert command of AutoCAD (2D/3D) and MS Project or Primavera for scheduling.
- Strong working knowledge of STAAD.Pro, Revit, or similar structural analysis software.
- Advanced MS Excel skills for data-driven project tracking.
- Field Expertise: Proven track record of managing large-scale residential or commercial projects from foundation to finishing.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent leadership and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Fluency in Gujarati and Hindi to effectively manage the local labor force and vendors.
