- Lead and supervise shift maintenance activities, including preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of hot rolling mill equipment to ensure maximum plant availability and minimum downtime.
- Monitor and maintain critical equipment such as rolling stands, gearboxes, hydraulic systems, pumps, motors, cooling systems, bearings, and lubrication systems for reliable operation.
- Analyze equipment failures, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and implement corrective and preventive actions to eliminate recurring breakdowns.
- Coordinate with Operations, Electrical, Production, and Utility teams to ensure smooth mill operation, quick restoration during breakdowns, and achievement of production targets.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, permit systems, and maintenance procedures while maintaining a safe working environment for manpower and equipment.
- Maintain shift records, maintenance logs, spare parts consumption, and shift handover reports for effective maintenance planning and continuous improvement
