About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced GST Executive to join our
Finance & Taxation team at our Shankar Nagar, Nagpur office.
The ideal candidate should have 2–4 years of relevant experience in GST-related
matters, preferably gained while working with a CA firm, tax consultancy or
consulting organisation.
CA Dropout / CA Inter candidates with relevant practical GST experience will be
strongly preferred.
The role will primarily focus on end-to-end GST compliance, return filing, GST
reconciliations, statutory compliance, GST notices and assessments, along with
maintaining accurate tax records and ensuring timely compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review and file monthly, quarterly and annual GST returns including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9 and GSTR-9C.
- Perform GST reconciliations including ITC, GSTR-2B, purchase register, sales register and books of accounts.
- Prepare GST workings and maintain accurate documentation for return filing.
- Ensure timely payment of GST liabilities and adherence to statutory due dates.
- Handle GST registrations, amendments, cancellations, LUT applications and other GST compliance activities.
- Reconcile GST data with financial records and identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Handle and respond to GST notices, departmental queries, audits and assessments.
- Coordinate with clients/internal departments for collection and verification of GST-related information and supporting documents.
- Maintain statutory records, GST documentation and compliance reports.
- Prepare GST MIS reports and other taxation-related reports.
- Keep updated with amendments and changes in GST laws and ensure timely implementation.
- Provide basic support in TDS reconciliation and quarterly TDS compliance whenever required.
- Ensure compliance with applicable GST, TDS and other statutory requirements.
Required Skills & Experience
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in GST-related matters.
- Preference for candidates who have worked with a CA firm, tax consultancy or consulting organisation.
- CA Dropout / CA Inter candidates with practical GST experience will be preferred.
- Strong knowledge of GST laws, return filing, reconciliations and statutory compliance.
- Hands-on experience with the GST Portal.
- Good understanding of Input Tax Credit (ITC), GSTR-2B reconciliation, GST audits and assessments.
- Knowledge of GST notices and departmental correspondence.
- Basic understanding of TDS provisions and quarterly TDS return filing.
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel, including:
o VLOOKUP
o XLOOKUP
o Pivot Tables
o Conditional Formatting
o Data Analysis
- Working knowledge of Tally, ERP systems or tax compliance software.
- Strong analytical, reconciliation and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team.
