Job Summary
GD Goenka Public School, Hapur Road is looking for an experienced, organised, and firm HR Manager to independently manage the school’s human resource operations.
The HR Manager will be responsible for recruitment, staff onboarding, attendance and leave management, employee documentation, HR policies, performance coordination, disciplinary processes, staff engagement, and exit formalities.
The ideal candidate should be capable of maintaining a professional and disciplined work culture while ensuring that HR processes are systematic, documented, and efficiently implemented.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the complete recruitment cycle for teaching, administrative, support, and operational staff.
- Source candidates through job portals, referrals, databases, and other recruitment channels.
- Screen applications, conduct preliminary interviews, coordinate further interview rounds, and maintain recruitment records.
- Prepare and issue offer letters, appointment letters, confirmation letters, warning letters, relieving letters, and other HR documentation.
- Conduct joining formalities and ensure complete documentation of every new employee.
- Maintain accurate and updated employee personnel files and digital HR records.
- Conduct employee background and reference verification wherever required.
- Manage daily staff attendance, biometric records, late arrivals, leaves, absenteeism, and attendance discrepancies.
- Maintain leave records and ensure implementation of the school’s attendance and leave policies.
- Coordinate attendance and payroll inputs with the Accounts Department every month.
- Maintain records relating to salary revisions, deductions, incentives, recoveries, and other employee-related changes.
- Ensure that probation reviews and employee confirmations are completed on time.
- Coordinate staff performance reviews and maintain performance-related documentation.
- Identify repeated attendance, conduct, punctuality, or performance issues and bring them to the attention of the concerned authority.
- Handle employee grievances professionally and maintain confidentiality.
- Implement school HR policies and ensure consistent compliance across departments.
- Manage disciplinary processes including counselling, written warnings, show-cause notices, and other documentation as directed by the management.
- Monitor adherence to staff dress code, reporting timings, workplace conduct, communication protocols, and other institutional policies.
- Coordinate induction and orientation programmes for newly appointed employees.
- Maintain manpower requirements and proactively identify upcoming vacancies.
- Maintain employee contracts, qualification records, identity documents, experience certificates, police verification, and other required documents.
- Coordinate statutory and HR compliance documentation as applicable.
- Manage resignation, notice period, handover, clearance, full-and-final settlement coordination, and exit documentation.
- Conduct exit interviews where required and maintain records of employee attrition.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee salaries, performance records, disciplinary matters, and other sensitive information.
- Prepare periodic HR reports for the Principal and Management covering recruitment, vacancies, attendance, leave, attrition, staffing, and other key HR matters.
- Support the school management in building a professional, accountable, and performance-oriented work culture.
Candidate Requirements
- Education: Graduate required; MBA/PGDM in HR or equivalent qualification preferred.
- Experience: Preferably 4–7 years of relevant HR experience.
- Prior experience managing HR operations independently will be preferred.
- Strong knowledge of recruitment, employee documentation, attendance, payroll coordination, employee relations, and HR processes.
- Good command of English and Hindi, both written and spoken.
- Strong drafting ability for official HR communication and documentation.
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, email, job portals, and HR/attendance software.
- Strong organisational and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to deal firmly and professionally with employee-related matters.
- High level of confidentiality, integrity, and accountability.
- Should be proactive, disciplined, detail-oriented, and capable of following matters through to closure.
Preferred Experience
Candidates with prior experience in a school, educational institution, hospital, hospitality organisation, or another manpower-intensive organisation will be preferred.
Experience in handling both professional employees and support staff will be an added advantage.

What We Are Looking For
We are looking for an HR Manager who does more than maintain employee files.
The person should take ownership of the entire employee lifecycle—from manpower planning and recruitment to attendance, performance, discipline, retention, and exit.
The position requires someone who can remain approachable to employees while being firm about institutional policies, deadlines, documentation, and professional standards.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹32,000.00 per month
