About the Role Develop scalable backend services and frontend applications for digital commerce platforms, focusing on order processing, menu management, and partner API integrations. The role involves supporting production troubleshooting and contributing to secure, clean, and maintainable code. Success in this role means delivering reliable and efficient systems through Agile delivery activities and engineering best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop scalable backend services and frontend applications for digital commerce, delivery, omnichannel, or retail platforms.
- Build and maintain systems for order processing, menu management, stock synchronisation, and partner API integrations.
- Support production troubleshooting, reliability improvements, monitoring, and Agile delivery activities.
- Contribute to secure, clean, and maintainable code through CI/CD, code reviews, and engineering best practices.
Requirements
- Develop backend services using GoLang, Node.js, or Java.
- Develop frontend applications using Angular.
- Utilize cloud services with AWS, including ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, and RDS.
- Design and develop REST / GraphQL APIs and integrate with third-party services.
- Implement monitoring and observability using Grafana, OpenTelemetry, and logs.
- Manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
- Apply knowledge of event-driven architecture, distributed systems, and production support practices.
- Have 3–4 years of software engineering experience.
- Have experience with Agile engineering practices, secure development, and production ownership.
Good to Have
- Experience in e-commerce, delivery, omnichannel, retail, or order management platforms.
- Hands-on exposure to order lifecycle, menu publishing, stock sync, and API-based integrations.
