Tandoor Chef (Tandoor Cook)
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook tandoor dishes according to recipes and standards.
- Operate and maintain the tandoor oven safely.
- Marinate meats, prepare doughs, sauces, and accompaniments.
- Ensure consistent taste, presentation, and portion control.
- Monitor food stock and inform management about shortages.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen area.
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Assist in menu planning and new recipe development when required.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff for timely order preparation.
- Minimize food wastage and maintain cost control.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working as a Tandoor Chef or similar role.
- Knowledge of Indian tandoor cuisine and cooking techniques.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Understanding of food safety standards.
- Physical stamina to stand for long hours and work near high heat.
- Teamwork and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Culinary training or hospitality certification.
- Experience in restaurants, hotels, or catering kitchens.
Working Conditions
- Shift-based work, including weekends and holidays.
- Hot kitchen environment due to tandoor operations.
Salary
Depends on experience
Pay: ₹16,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
