We are seeking a skilled InDesign Programmer with a strong background in the publishing domain. The candidate will be responsible for developing, customizing, and automating workflows in Adobe InDesign using scripting and programming languages. This role requires expertise in layout automation, template development, and integration with publishing systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automation scripts for Adobe InDesign to streamline publishing workflows.
- Create and manage templates, styles, and layouts for books, journals, and other publishing materials.
- Work on InDesign scripting (ExtendScript / JavaScript) for process automation.
- Integrate InDesign with external systems using programming languages like Java, C, C++, and JavaScript.
- Handle large-volume content formatting and pagination.
- Collaborate with editorial, production, and QA teams to ensure quality deliverables.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize existing scripts and tools.
- Ensure consistency and adherence to publishing standards and client requirements.
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in Adobe InDesign development.
- Proficiency in JavaScript (ExtendScript for InDesign).
- Working knowledge of Java, C, and C++.
- Experience with Visual Studio Code (VS Code) or similar IDEs.
- Good understanding of publishing workflows (Books/Journals).
- Knowledge of XML/HTML workflows in publishing is an added advantage.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good to have knowledge of Adobe InDesign plugin development, customization, and integration.
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹66,917.95 per month
