Job Description – Class 1 Teacher
Job Title: Primary Teacher – Class 1
Department: Primary School
Location: Coimbatore
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons for Class 1 students.
- Teach foundational concepts in English, Mathematics, EVS and basic life skills.
- Create a safe, positive and child-friendly classroom environment.
- Use activity-based and creative teaching methods to make learning enjoyable.
- Monitor students’ academic progress, behaviour and overall development.
- Conduct assessments, maintain student records and provide regular feedback.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and concerns.
- Collaborate with coordinators and other teachers for academic planning and school activities.
Required Skills
- Good communication and classroom management skills.
- Strong understanding of primary-level teaching methods.
- Patience, creativity and a child-friendly approach.
- Ability to use activity-based and experiential learning techniques.
- Qualification: Graduate with B.Ed./D.El.Ed. or equivalent.
- Experience: 1–3 years of primary teaching experience preferred.
