Job Title: Carpenter – Interior Fit-Out
Job Summary:
A Carpenter in an interior fit-out company is responsible for executing all carpentry-related works at site as per drawings, specifications, and quality standards. The role involves fabrication, installation, and finishing of wooden elements for commercial and residential interiors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret drawings, layouts, and BOQs provided by the design and project team
- Carry out cutting, shaping, assembling, and installation of wooden structures and fixtures
- Install furniture items such as wardrobes, cabinets, partitions, doors, and modular units
- Execute veneer, laminate, polishing, and finishing work as per specifications
- Ensure proper alignment, leveling, and finishing of all carpentry works
- Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, and other trades (electrical, civil, HVAC, etc.)
- Ensure efficient use of materials and minimize wastage
- Maintain tools, machinery, and work area in safe and working condition
- Follow safety standards and site protocols at all times
- Complete assigned tasks within given timelines
Skills & Requirements:
- Proven experience in interior fit-out carpentry work
- Ability to read technical drawings and layouts
- Knowledge of materials like plywood, MDF, laminates, veneers, hardware fittings, etc.
- Skilled in use of carpentry tools and machines
- Attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Basic understanding of site coordination and teamwork
Qualification:
- ITI / Diploma in Carpentry or relevant field (preferred)
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in interior fit-out projects
Working Conditions:
- Primarily site-based work (commercial projects)
- May require overtime depending on project deadlines
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From ₹25,000.00 per month
