Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Factory Manager / Purchase Manager to oversee manufacturing operations and procurement activities in an engine spare parts manufacturing environment. The role involves ensuring smooth factory operations, cost-effective purchasing, vendor management, inventory control, and adherence to quality and production standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesFactory Operations Management
- Oversee daily factory operations to ensure production targets are achieved.
- Plan, organize, and monitor manufacturing processes for efficiency and quality.
- Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials.
- Implement production schedules and monitor workflow.
- Maintain strict adherence to safety, quality, and compliance standards.
- Coordinate with maintenance team to ensure minimal downtime of machines.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Kaizen, etc.).
Procurement & Purchase Management
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with business goals.
- Source and evaluate vendors for raw materials, components, and consumables.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms to achieve cost efficiency.
- Ensure timely procurement of materials to avoid production delays.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with stores for stock optimization.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and evaluate performance.
- Ensure compliance with import/export regulations (if applicable).
Inventory & Cost Control
- Monitor and control inventory levels, minimizing excess and shortages.
- Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.
- Track and analyze material consumption and wastage.
- Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for audits.
Team Management & Leadership
- Lead, train, and supervise production and purchase teams.
- Allocate responsibilities and ensure accountability across departments.
- Conduct performance evaluations and drive team productivity.
- Foster a culture of discipline, safety, and continuous improvement.
Coordination & Reporting
- Coordinate with Accounts, Quality, Sales, and Logistics teams.
- Prepare MIS reports on production, procurement, and cost analysis.
- Report operational performance and challenges to management.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes (preferably engine spare parts).
- Expertise in vendor management and procurement strategies.
- Knowledge of inventory control and cost management techniques.
- Familiarity with ERP systems.
- Understanding of GST, import/export documentation (preferred).
- Excellent negotiation, leadership, and decision-making skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Supply Chain / Operations / Commerce.
- 5–10+ years of experience in manufacturing and procurement roles.
- Experience in automotive or engine spare parts industry preferred.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
