About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Compliance & KYC Officer to establish, manage, and continuously improve the compliance framework supporting the Ensure Insured Token (EIT) ecosystem.
This position will be responsible for overseeing Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Know Your Customer (KYC), Know Your Business (KYB), sanctions screening, investor onboarding controls, jurisdictional compliance requirements, and internal compliance processes.
The successful candidate will work closely with legal advisors, executive leadership, operations teams, external compliance providers, and technology teams to ensure the organization operates in accordance with applicable regulations and industry best practices.
This is a critical role responsible for helping protect the company, investors, and ecosystem participants from compliance, regulatory, and operational risks.

A Blocks Nexus is building EnsureInsured, a blockchain-powered insurance verification and enforcement ecosystem designed to modernize insurance compliance, policy verification, fraud prevention, and regulatory enforcement through secure digital infrastructure.
The ecosystem includes the Ensure Insured Token (EIT), a utility token supporting ecosystem participation, platform growth, and future network expansion.
As the company prepares for international growth, token sale operations, and long-term regulatory engagement, maintaining a strong compliance framework is critical to protecting investors, ensuring regulatory readiness, and supporting sustainable growth.
Key ResponsibilitiesCompliance Program Management
- Develop and maintain the organization's compliance framework.
- Establish compliance policies, procedures, and operational controls.
- Ensure compliance activities align with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Support implementation of risk-based compliance programs.
- Monitor evolving regulatory developments impacting digital assets and blockchain projects.
AML & KYC Governance
- Oversee AML and KYC procedures throughout investor onboarding processes.
- Review and approve customer due diligence workflows.
- Ensure proper identity verification procedures are maintained.
- Support enhanced due diligence reviews where required.
- Maintain investor verification records and audit trails.
Jurisdiction & Sanctions Compliance
- Ensure participation restrictions are enforced for prohibited jurisdictions.
- Oversee sanctions screening procedures.
- Monitor politically exposed persons (PEPs) and high-risk entities.
- Coordinate investigations into potential compliance concerns.
- Ensure screening controls remain current and effective.
Investor Onboarding & Risk Management
- Establish risk-based investor classification frameworks.
- Support onboarding of retail and institutional participants.
- Review high-risk applications and escalations.
- Identify suspicious activities and coordinate appropriate actions.
- Assist in developing transaction monitoring controls.
Regulatory & Legal Coordination
- Collaborate with internal and external legal advisors.
- Assist with regulatory reviews and due diligence requests.
- Maintain compliance documentation required for audits and investigations.
- Support legal reviews of token sale processes and investor onboarding procedures.
- Assist management in responding to regulatory enquiries.
Exchange & Ecosystem Readiness
- Support compliance requirements related to exchange listings.
- Assist with due diligence requests from strategic partners.
- Coordinate compliance documentation requested by exchanges, custodians, and institutional participants.
- Support preparation of compliance reports and disclosures.
Internal Governance & Reporting
- Maintain compliance records and documentation.
- Prepare periodic compliance reports for management.
- Monitor compliance metrics and key risk indicators.
- Conduct internal compliance reviews and assessments.
- Identify opportunities to improve compliance processes.
Risk Assessment & Monitoring
- Perform periodic compliance risk assessments.
- Identify operational and regulatory risks.
- Recommend mitigation strategies.
- Escalate significant risks to executive leadership.
- Support implementation of corrective actions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Compliance, Risk Management, or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Compliance, AML, KYC, Risk Management, Banking Compliance, FinTech Compliance, or Crypto Compliance.
- Strong understanding of AML and KYC frameworks.
- Experience working with sanctions screening programs.
- Experience conducting customer due diligence reviews.
- Strong analytical and investigative skills.
- Excellent documentation and communication abilities.
- High attention to detail and professional judgment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting blockchain, cryptocurrency, Web3, token sale, or digital asset projects.
- Experience with investor onboarding processes.
- Familiarity with international AML standards.
- CAMS, ICA, CRCM, CFCS, or equivalent compliance certifications.
- Experience working with compliance providers such as Sumsub, Veriff, Onfido, Jumio, Trulioo, Chainalysis, Elliptic, or similar platforms.
- Understanding of digital asset risk management frameworks.
- Experience supporting exchange listing due diligence processes.
