Job Description – Core Shop Supervisor (Foundry)
Job Summary:
The Core Shop Supervisor is responsible for supervising daily core-making operations to ensure production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise core shop production and manpower.
- Ensure quality of sand cores as per specifications.
- Monitor production schedules and minimise defects and scrap.
- Coordinate with moulding, quality, and maintenance teams.
- Maintain production records and ensure equipment is properly maintained.
- Enforce safety, housekeeping (5S), and company procedures.
- Train and guide operators to improve productivity and quality.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical, or Production Engineering.
- 1–5 years of foundry experience, including supervisory experience in a core shop.
Skills:
- Knowledge of core-making processes and foundry operations.
- Leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Basic computer and production reporting knowledge.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
