Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Legal Assistant to provide administrative and legal support to the Legal Department. The ideal candidate should have excellent drafting, documentation, communication, and coordination skills. The role involves preparing legal documents, maintaining records, coordinating with internal departments and external legal professionals, and ensuring compliance with legal procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, format, and maintain legal documents, agreements, notices, affidavits, and correspondence.
- Maintain and organize legal files, contracts, case records, and confidential documents.
- Coordinate with advocates, consultants, government authorities, clients, and internal departments.
- Assist in preparing legal reports, presentations, and documentation.
- Monitor contract expiry dates, renewals, and compliance requirements.
- Support the legal team in litigation and non-litigation matters.
- Conduct basic legal research and collect relevant legal information as required.
- Maintain records of court cases, hearings, and legal notices.
- Schedule meetings, appointments, and maintain the legal department calendar.
- Ensure all legal documents are properly filed, updated, and easily accessible.
- Handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Assist in statutory compliance, regulatory documentation, and corporate legal matters.
- Prepare meeting minutes and maintain records of legal discussions.
- Perform general administrative duties related to the Legal Department.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Law (LL.B.) or a Graduate with relevant legal experience.
- Legal Assistant, Paralegal, or corporate legal support certification will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience as a Legal Assistant, Paralegal, or in a corporate legal department.
- Experience in handling contracts, legal documentation, and corporate compliance is preferred.
Required Skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Excellent drafting and documentation skills.
- Good knowledge of corporate legal procedures and documentation.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Knowledge of legal terminology and document management.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
