Job Summary
The Plumber is responsible for the installation, inspection, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of all plumbing systems across the campus, including academic buildings, laboratories, hostels, administrative offices, cafeterias, and other facilities. The role ensures uninterrupted water supply, proper sanitation, and compliance with safety and maintenance standards.
Key Responsibilities
Plumbing Maintenance
- Install, maintain, and repair water supply and drainage systems.
- Repair leaking taps, pipelines, valves, faucets, flush tanks, and sanitary fittings.
- Replace damaged pipes, joints, and plumbing fixtures.
- Attend to plumbing complaints promptly to minimize disruptions.
- Maintain overhead tanks, underground sumps, and water distribution systems.
Preventive Maintenance
- Conduct routine inspections of plumbing systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance to reduce breakdowns.
- Inspect pumps, pipelines, valves, and drainage systems regularly.
- Ensure proper functioning of water supply systems across the campus.
Sanitary & Drainage Systems
- Maintain toilets, washrooms, urinals, and sewage lines.
- Clear blocked drains, manholes, and sewer pipelines.
- Ensure proper sanitation and hygiene standards are maintained.
- Monitor rainwater drainage systems during the monsoon season.
Installation Works
- Install new plumbing lines and sanitary fixtures.
- Assist during renovation and civil works involving plumbing systems.
- Coordinate with contractors during new construction projects.
- Verify the quality of plumbing work carried out by external vendors.
Water Management
- Monitor water consumption and identify leakages.
- Ensure uninterrupted water supply to all buildings.
- Assist in water conservation initiatives.
- Report abnormal water usage or system failures.
Emergency Response
- Attend emergency plumbing breakdowns immediately.
- Restore essential water services with minimal downtime.
- Support disaster preparedness and emergency maintenance activities.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow workplace safety procedures and use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Ensure compliance with institutional safety and environmental standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area after repairs.
- Handle plumbing tools and equipment responsibly.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain daily maintenance records.
- Record completed work orders and pending issues.
- Report material requirements to the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Assist in preparing preventive maintenance schedules.
Job Summary
The Electrician is responsible for the installation, inspection, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all electrical systems and equipment across the campus. This includes academic blocks, laboratories, administrative offices, hostels, auditoriums, libraries, sports facilities, and common areas. The role ensures uninterrupted power supply, electrical safety, preventive maintenance, and compliance with statutory regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Electrical Maintenance
- Install, inspect, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, circuits, switches, sockets, lighting systems, and distribution boards.
- Troubleshoot and rectify electrical faults with minimum downtime.
- Replace defective electrical components and equipment.
- Ensure uninterrupted power supply to all campus facilities.
- Perform routine servicing of electrical installations.
Preventive Maintenance
- Carry out preventive maintenance of electrical systems as per the maintenance schedule.
- Inspect transformers, panels, distribution boards, MCCBs, MCBs, and electrical connections.
- Monitor the condition of cables, conduits, earthing systems, and lighting fixtures.
- Maintain records of preventive maintenance activities.
Generator & Power Backup Systems
- Monitor and maintain Diesel Generator (DG) sets.
- Conduct routine testing of DG sets and Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS).
- Ensure UPS systems and battery backups are functioning properly.
- Coordinate fuel availability and service schedules.
Electrical Installations
- Install electrical wiring for new buildings, classrooms, laboratories, and offices.
- Assist during renovation and infrastructure projects.
- Verify electrical work carried out by contractors.
- Ensure all installations comply with electrical standards and regulations.
Laboratory & Campus Support
- Maintain electrical equipment in laboratories and workshops.
- Support academic departments during practical sessions requiring electrical assistance.
- Ensure uninterrupted electrical supply during examinations, seminars, conferences, and institutional events.
- Attend urgent electrical complaints raised by departments.
Energy Management
- Monitor electricity consumption and identify opportunities for energy conservation.
- Replace conventional lighting with energy-efficient systems where applicable.
- Report abnormal power consumption or electrical losses.
- Support implementation of energy-saving initiatives.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all electrical safety procedures and lockout/tagout (LOTO) practices.
- Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while performing maintenance.
- Ensure proper earthing and electrical protection systems are functional.
- Report unsafe electrical conditions immediately.
- Ensure compliance with statutory electrical safety regulations.
Emergency Response
- Attend electrical breakdowns promptly.
- Restore essential electrical services during emergencies.
- Support disaster recovery and emergency maintenance activities.
- Remain available during power outages or critical campus events, as required.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain daily maintenance logs and complaint registers.
- Record preventive maintenance schedules and completed work.
- Prepare reports on electrical failures, repairs, and material consumption.
- Raise requisitions for spare parts and electrical materials.
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹12,000.00 per month
Work Location: In person
