Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Robot Teaching Engineer to program, teach, and optimize industrial robots for various automation applications. The candidate will be responsible for robot path teaching, cycle time optimization, process validation, troubleshooting, and customer support during project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform robot teaching, programming, and commissioning for industrial robotic systems.
- Develop and optimize robot paths for efficient operation and reduced cycle times.
- Configure robot parameters, tool data, user frames, and work objects.
- Conduct robot trials, testing, and process validation.
- Troubleshoot robot programming and application-related issues.
- Support installation, commissioning, and production startup activities.
- Coordinate with design, controls, and project teams to achieve project objectives.
- Provide technical training and support to customers and operators.
- Prepare program backups, technical reports, and project documentation.
- Ensure compliance with customer specifications and safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Automation, or related field.
- Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in robot teaching, programming, and commissioning.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of industrial robot programming and teaching.
- Experience in robot path creation, optimization, and troubleshooting.
- Understanding of robot coordinate systems, tool frames, and user frames.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and process drawings.
- Knowledge of PLC interfacing and industrial automation systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and customer-handling abilities.
- Willingness to travel for project execution and customer support.
Preferred Experience
- Hands-on experience with ABB, FANUC, KUKA, Yaskawa, Kawasaki, or Universal Robots.
- Experience in robotic welding, spot welding, arc welding, material handling, palletizing, machine tending, sealing, dispensing, or assembly applications.
- Experience in cycle time optimization and production support.
- Exposure to automotive, manufacturing, and industrial automation projects.
