About the role
We run a portfolio of consumer brands across sports equipment, cycling, and lifestyle products — sold on our own Shopify stores, Amazon, and marketplaces. Design is not a support function here; it's what sells the product. You'll own the visual output end to end: ad creatives, product listings, packaging, website assets, and short-form video.
We're looking for someone with instinctive taste — a designer who can look at a rough brief and immediately sense the right composition, colour, and mood without needing it spelled out. Technical skill is teachable; that eye is not.
What you'll do
- Design performance ad creatives for Meta and Google — statics, carousels, and motion — and iterate fast based on what performs
- Build product listing images and A+ content for Amazon and marketplace platforms
- Retouch and composite product photography to a premium standard (clean cutouts, realistic shadows, colour accuracy)
- Edit short-form video for Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and paid social — cuts, pacing, text animation, sound
- Create packaging, labels, and print collateral for new product launches
- Design web assets — banners, section graphics, and landing page visuals — in collaboration with our web team
- Maintain and extend brand systems across multiple brands without letting them blur into each other
Must-haves
- Advanced Adobe Photoshop — non-negotiable. Masking, compositing, frequency separation, colour grading, smart objects, non-destructive workflows. We will test this.
- Strong command of layout, typography, and colour — you should be able to defend why something is where it is
- Video editing in Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or CapCut — clean cuts, good rhythm, readable text
- Adobe Illustrator for vector work, logos, and print-ready files
- Ability to work to brand guidelines and know when to push past them
- A portfolio showing real commercial work — products, ads, or brand systems, not just college projects
Bonus points
- 3D — Blender, KeyShot, Cinema 4D, or similar. Product visualisation, packshots, or animated renders. This is increasingly how we shoot products, so it's a genuine advantage.
- Product design or industrial design sensibility — understanding form, material, and manufacturing constraints
- Motion graphics and animation beyond basic text-on-video
- Product photography and lighting
- Figma for web and UI handoff
- Experience designing for D2C, ecommerce, or sports/lifestyle brands
What we offer
- Real ownership — your work goes live and gets measured, not buried in a deck
- Direct access to founders, short feedback loops, no design-by-committee
- Budget for tools, hardware, and upskilling
- Salary: competitive, based on portfolio and experience
