Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled ITI Turner to operate and maintain lathe machines for precision machining. The role involves producing high-quality components as per engineering drawings while maintaining safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities Machine Operation
- Operate lathe machines for turning, facing, drilling, and threading operations
- Set up machines, select tools, and adjust cutting parameters
- Ensure accuracy and surface finish of machined components
Drawing Interpretation
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Understand tolerances, dimensions, and machining symbols
Production & Quality
- Produce components as per required dimensions and quality standards
- Measure and inspect parts using vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Ensure minimal rejection and rework
Maintenance
- Perform routine maintenance of lathe machines
- Identify and report machine issues or breakdowns
- Maintain cleanliness and proper lubrication of machines
Troubleshooting
- Identify machining defects and take corrective actions
- Support in resolving production issues
Safety & Compliance
- Follow safety guidelines and PPE usage
- Ensure safe handling of machines and tools
Documentation
- Maintain production and inspection records
- Record daily work and machine utilization
Team Coordination
- Coordinate with fitters, welders, and supervisors
- Support production and project teams
Requirements
- ITI in Turner
- 1–2 years of experience in lathe operations
- Knowledge of measuring instruments
- Attention to detail and quality
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹13,500.00 - ₹22,500.00 per hour
