Job Summary
The Quotation Manager will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive quotations, coordinating with the Sales, Purchase, and Design teams, and ensuring timely submission of quotations to customers. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, commercial understanding, and experience in quotation preparation within the HVAC, engineering, or related industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and timely quotations based on customer requirements and technical specifications.
- Review customer enquiries, BOQs, drawings, and project specifications.
- Coordinate with the Sales, Purchase, and Design teams to obtain pricing and technical information.
- Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations to ensure competitive pricing.
- Ensure quotations comply with company policies and customer requirements.
- Maintain records of quotations and track their status until order confirmation.
- Follow up with the Sales team regarding submitted quotations and customer feedback.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and profitability.
- Prepare cost comparisons, pricing analysis, and profitability reports.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3–4 years of experience in quotation preparation, estimation, or commercial operations.
- Experience in the HVAC, MEP, engineering, or industrial equipment industry is preferred.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of quotation preparation and cost estimation.
- Good understanding of commercial terms and pricing strategies.
- Proficiency in Katalyst, Microsoft Excel, Word, and ERP software.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and BOQs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple quotations and meet deadlines.
