About the Role
Bhagat Enterprises is looking for a responsible, energetic and trustworthy Operations Assistant to support our day-to-day packaging and distribution operations.
This is a hands-on operations role involving stock handling, order preparation, deliveries, payment collection and basic stock management. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working on the ground and can gradually take responsibility for managing daily operations independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Pack and prepare goods as per customer orders
- Pick, arrange and load goods for delivery
- Assist with loading and unloading of material
- Accompany/handle local deliveries as required
- Collect payments from customers and maintain proper records
- Ensure goods are delivered safely and on time
- Check incoming and outgoing stock
- Maintain basic stock records and inventory accounts
- Keep the warehouse/stock area organised
- Coordinate with customers regarding deliveries and payments
- Report shortages, damages or discrepancies in stock
- Assist in other day-to-day operational activities
What We Are Looking For
- Responsible and trustworthy individual
- Good communication skills
- Physically fit and comfortable handling goods
- Basic knowledge of mobile phones, WhatsApp and Excel/Google Sheets
- Good basic understanding of numbers and record keeping
- Ability to travel locally for deliveries
- Punctual and disciplined
- Willingness to take ownership of work
- Previous experience in warehouse, delivery, logistics, stock handling or distribution will be an advantage
