IT Manager
SmartDocs, Inc. is a bootstrapped, profitable GovTech software company headquartered in Newtown Square, PA. For 16 years we have built procurement, spend management, and contract lifecycle software for U.S. public sector clients, including the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission, the Ohio Turnpike, and the New Jersey Turnpike Authority. Our platform runs on Java/Spring, Angular, and MongoDB on Microsoft Azure, with deep SAP S/4HANA integration. We hold SOC 2 Type II, ISO 9001, ISO 27001, and ISO 27701 certifications. We are roughly 100 people across the U.S. and India, with no external investors — we answer to our customers, not a board of VCs.
You will run internal IT for a 100-person software company spanning India and the US — leading a small team that handles identity, laptops, networking, helpdesk, and SaaS administration. You'll be hands-on for our Hyderabad office and manage US headquarters IT remotely through MDM, remote support tooling, and local vendor hands. Because we're SOC 2 and ISO 27001 certified, this is corporate IT with real rigor: access reviews, auditable on/offboarding, and endpoint compliance actually matter here. You'll have ownership, a capable small team, and direct access to leadership.

Lead a 2–3 person internal IT team and own the helpdesk experience

Administer Microsoft Entra ID and M365: accounts, SSO, MFA, groups, conditional access

Run employee on/offboarding end to end — accounts, hardware, access — against documented, auditable checklists

Manage the laptop fleet with Intune: imaging, encryption, patching, endpoint protection

Own office networking (LAN/WiFi/firewall/VPN) for the Hyderabad office; manage US HQ network remotely with local vendor support

Administer our SaaS portfolio and manage license renewals and spend

Maintain hardware asset inventory and run procurement across both geographies

Produce identity and endpoint evidence for SOC 2 / ISO 27001 audits; run quarterly access reviews and security awareness training

Provide remote support for US-based employees during overlap hours, including on/offboarding logistics

5+ years in IT support/administration, with 1+ year leading or mentoring others

Strong Microsoft stack: Entra ID, M365, Intune

Hands-on networking fundamentals: VLANs, firewalls, VPN, WiFi

Experience supporting compliance audits (SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, or similar) — or strong process discipline and eagerness to learn

Experience at a software/product company; scripting (PowerShell); ticketing system administration; experience supporting US-based users or distributed teams remotely
