Junior Trade specialist Job Summary The Cotton Trade Coordinator is responsible for managing end-to-end coordination of Textile /cotton trading activities, including supplier and buyer communication, order execution, logistics follow-up, and documentation. The role ensures smooth trade operations, timely deliveries, and strong stakeholder relationships within the Textile /cotton supply chain Trade Coordination & Execution Coordinate domestic and/or international cotton trade transactions from order placement to delivery Act as the primary point of contact between buyers and suppliers sometimes with brokers. Monitor order status, shipment schedules, and ensure timely execution. Supplier & Buyer Management Maintain strong relationships with cotton suppliers, Textile mills, and traders – Both domestic and international merchants Communicate buyer requirements (quality, quantity, delivery timelines – shipments ) clearly to suppliers Handle queries, negotiations support, and issue resolution Quality & Compliance Ensure cotton quality standards (staple length, micronaire, Grade, etc.) are met Coordinate with technical department in spinning mills and quality inspection agencies/ controllers when required Ensure adherence to trade contracts and regulatory compliance Logistics & Documentation Coordinate logistics including transportation, warehousing, and shipment planning Prepare and verify trade documents (invoices, contracts, delivery challans, shipping documents) Track dispatches and ensure proper documentation flow Market & Pricing Support Track cotton market trends, pricing fluctuations, and demand-supply dynamics Assist in pricing discussions and contract finalization Maintain records of transactions and pricing data Key Competencies Attention to detail Coordination & multitasking Relationship management Problem-solving ability Time management Maintain accurate trade records, order details, and client databases Generate reports on trade performance, dispatch status, and pending orders Support management with insights for improving trade efficiency Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Agriculture, Textiles, BSc or related field Interest in Commodity trading , cotton trading, textiles, or commodity coordination Strong understanding of cotton grades, quality parameters, and supply chain Open to travel in India and overseas if needed. Good communication and negotiation skills Proficiency in MS Excel , Power BI , AI , IT and trade documentation . Hindi language , App development , strong base in digitization will be added advantage. Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deadlines . Preferred Skills Interested in export/import documentation Knowledge of commodity markets and pricing trends Familiarity with textile / spinning industry / Agri commodities IT / Advanced MS Excel, how to integrate Commodity trading with IT and make it digitized Using Ai / IT – Technology standing out and unique in the commodity trading market Key Competencies Textile /Technical Textiles /Spinning / commodity knowledge Coordination & multitasking Relationship management Problem-solving ability Time management Open to travel
