Job Title: Database Engineer (DBA – MSSQL & PostgreSQL)
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Database Engineer (DBA) (with 7 to 8 years of an experience ) responsible for managing, optimizing, and maintaining database systems. The role requires strong expertise in MSSQL and PostgreSQL, with a focus on performance, reliability, and scalability.
Working Model
* Daily involvement: 2–3 hours
* Flexible working hours
* In case of critical production issues, availability required until resolution
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and maintain MSSQL and PostgreSQL databases
* Monitor database performance and ensure high availability
* Optimize queries, stored procedures, and database operations
* Design, review, and optimize indexes (create, rebuild, reorganize)
* Perform regular database maintenance activities
* Analyze slow queries and improve execution performance
* Implement database structure changes when required
* Ensure fast database response time for application operations
* Handle schema design and modifications based on system needs
* Troubleshoot production issues and provide immediate fixes
* Maintain database health, integrity, and security
Technical Skills Required
* Strong experience with MSSQL and PostgreSQL
* Expertise in query optimization and performance tuning
* Deep understanding of indexing strategies
* Experience with stored procedures, functions, and triggers
* Knowledge of database architecture and scalability
* Familiarity with monitoring tools and performance tracking
* Ability to handle large datasets and high-load systems
Engagement & Payment Terms
* Engagement based on hourly work
* Work assigned as per requirement
* Payment cycle: Monthly payout
* Payment release date: 10th of every month
