Job Summary:
The Service Engineer is responsible for installation, troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and technical support of electronic products and equipment. The role involves handling customer complaints, diagnosing faults, coordinating with internal teams, and ensuring timely service support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and commission electronic equipment/products at customer locations.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot PCB, panel, and electronic component-level issues.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Attend customer complaints and provide technical support on-site or remotely.
- Handle repair and replacement of defective parts/components.
- Maintain service reports, daily work updates, and documentation.
- Coordinate with warehouse/spare parts team for material requirements.
- Ensure adherence to quality and safety standards during service activities.
- Support testing and calibration of electronic products.
- Train customers/users on equipment handling and basic troubleshooting.
- Achieve service targets and maintain customer satisfaction.
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of electronics circuits, PCB troubleshooting, and electrical systems.
- Ability to use testing instruments such as multimeter, soldering tools, oscilloscope, etc.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Basic computer knowledge and report preparation.
- Ability to travel for service support if required.
Qualification:
- Diploma / ITI / B.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, ECE, or related field.
Experience:
- 1–5 years of experience in electronics service/support field.
- Freshers with strong technical knowledge can also apply.
