HealthCare Information System (HIS) Senior Project Manager
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced HIS Senior Project Manager to lead and manage healthcare IT projects, including Hospital Information Systems (HIS), Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR), and healthcare digital transformation initiatives. The candidate will coordinate with healthcare stakeholders, technical teams, vendors, and management to ensure successful project delivery within scope, timeline, and budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end implementation and management of HIS/EMR/EHR projects.
- Coordinate with hospital management, doctors, nursing staff, and IT teams for requirement gathering and execution.
- Manage project planning, timelines, budgets, resources, and risk mitigation.
- Monitor project progress and ensure timely delivery of milestones.
- Conduct stakeholder meetings, status reporting, and project reviews.
- Ensure integration between HIS and third-party systems such as LIS, RIS, PACS, ERP, billing, insurance, and mobile applications.
- Handle vendor management and external implementation partners.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare standards, security policies, and data privacy regulations.
- Support user training, UAT, deployment, and post-production support.
- Drive process improvements and digital transformation initiatives in healthcare operations.
- Prepare project documentation, SOPs, reports, and governance materials.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Hospital Information Systems (HIS).
- Experience in healthcare domain and hospital workflows.
- Project management expertise using Agile/Waterfall methodologies.
- Knowledge of EMR/EHR, HL7, FHIR, PACS, LIS, RIS integrations.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Risk management and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with cloud platforms and healthcare IT infrastructure is preferred.
- Ability to manage cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
Technical Skills
- Healthcare Applications & HIS Platforms

- Project Management Tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps, MS Project, etc.)
- Reporting & Documentation Tools
- Understanding of healthcare compliance and security standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Healthcare Management, or related field.
- PMP / PRINCE2 / Scrum certification preferred.
- Master’s degree is an added advantage.
Experience
- 8–15+ years of experience in IT project management.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in Healthcare/HIS projects.
- Experience handling large-scale hospital implementation projects preferred.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience working with multi-speciality hospitals or healthcare organizations.
- Strong coordination and client-facing experience.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent presentation and documentation skills.

Pay: ₹1,500,000.00 - ₹2,500,000.00 per year
