Job Summary
Antony Motors Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a dynamic and result-oriented Assistant Sales Manager to drive business development for its range of specialized municipal and waste management vehicles. The role requires extensive field travel to government offices, municipal corporations, public sector organizations, and institutional clients to generate business opportunities, secure contracts, and participate in tender processes.
The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of government procurement procedures, tender documentation, relationship management, and B2G (Business-to-Government) sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop business opportunities with Municipal Corporations, Smart City Missions, Urban Local Bodies (ULBs), Government Departments, Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), and private infrastructure companies.
- Travel extensively across Maharashtra and other states to meet government officials, consultants, contractors, and decision-makers.
- Build and maintain relationships with municipal commissioners, engineers, sanitation departments, procurement officials, and consultants.
- Promote the company's range of specialized vehicles including:
- Refuse/Trash Compactors
- Hook Loaders
- Skip Loaders
- Road Sweepers
- Water Tankers
- Sewer Suction & Jetting Machines
- Other customized municipal vehicles
- Monitor government tenders through e-procurement portals and other procurement platforms.
- Coordinate preparation and submission of technical and commercial bids.
- Liaise with internal departments including Engineering, Production, Finance, and Commercial for bid preparation and execution.
- Conduct product presentations, technical demonstrations, and customer meetings.
- Negotiate commercial terms and assist in finalizing contracts.
- Prepare sales forecasts, visit reports, market intelligence, and competitor analysis.
- Ensure timely follow-up of enquiries, tenders, purchase orders, and payments.
- Represent the company at exhibitions, industry conferences, and government events.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- MBA (Marketing) preferred.
Experience
- 4–8 years of experience in B2G sales, institutional sales, infrastructure equipment, commercial vehicles, or municipal equipment.
- Experience handling government tenders and procurement processes is essential.
- Prior experience in municipal vehicles, commercial vehicles, construction equipment, waste management, or public infrastructure industries will be preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of Government Tendering and GeM Portal.
- Knowledge of public procurement procedures.
- Excellent networking and relationship-building skills.
- Strong negotiation and presentation abilities.
- Ability to interpret tender specifications and technical requirements.
- Commercial acumen and contract management skills.
- Good communication in English, Hindi, and Marathi.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM software.
Travel Requirements
- Extensive travel is mandatory (approximately 70–80% of the role).
- Frequent visits to government offices, municipal corporations, project sites, and customer locations across Maharashtra and other regions.
- Must possess a valid driving licence and be willing to travel at short notice.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Revenue generated from government and institutional clients.
- Number of tenders identified and successfully submitted.
- Tender conversion rate.
- New municipal and government accounts acquired.
- Order value secured.
- Customer relationship and account retention.
- Timely submission of reports and sales forecasts.
- Collection of payments and contract execution support.
Working Hours
- Monday to Saturday
- 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM (Field-based role; working hours may vary depending on customer meetings and travel requirements.)
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
