The Opportunity
We are looking for a hands-on Assistant Manager – Finance & Accounts to take ownership of our day-to-day finance operations.
This role combines accounting, receivables management, client reconciliation, banking and commercial finance coordination. The ideal candidate should be comfortable handling accounting independently while ensuring strong financial discipline, timely collections and smooth coordination with clients, banks and our external Chartered Accountant firm.
Key Responsibilities
1) Accounting & Finance
- Pass day-to-day accounting entries in Tally and Zoho Books.
- Maintain accurate books of accounts and general ledgers.
- Manage Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR) and bank reconciliations.
- Reconcile customer, vendor and bank accounts on a regular basis.
- Ensure timely monthly and year-end financial closure.
- Prepare MIS reports and financial summaries for management.
2) Receivables & Client Coordination
- Track customer invoices and outstanding receivables.
- Reconcile client accounts and resolve billing discrepancies.
- Coordinate with clients regarding invoices, payment status and outstanding balances.
- Follow up professionally through emails and calls to ensure timely collections.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure timely billing and smooth payment cycles.
3) Compliance & Banking
- Coordinate with the external Chartered Accountant firm for GST, TDS, audits and statutory compliances.
- Manage overseas remittances, FEMA documentation and banking formalities.
- Coordinate with banks for routine finance activities and documentation.
- Maintain proper financial records and supporting documentation.
4) Commercial Finance Support
- Review customer contracts, work orders and purchase orders from a commercial perspective.
- Highlight issues related to billing, taxation and payment terms.
- Support management in improving financial controls and commercial processes.
Ideal Candidate
Education
- B.Com, M.Com, CA Inter or equivalent qualification.
Experience
- 4–7 years of hands-on experience in accounting and finance.
- Strong experience with Tally and Zoho Books.
- Good understanding of GST, TDS and statutory compliances.
- Experience in Accounts Receivable (AR), reconciliations and collections.
- Experience handling banking transactions and overseas remittances will be an advantage.
- Good communication skills with confidence to interact directly with clients.
