2. Job Profile
- Overview – Projects management ( New and existing projects of ISCM locations )
- Infrastructure – building renovations / new constructions support -Contemporariness
- Tendering / bills – verification and support
- Capex - Consolidation / management and control.
- Asset management - Capital asset monitoring / commissioning and disposal
- Capital procurement negotiation -along with sourcing team
- Building maps / statutory approvals
- Statutory approvals – SIPCOT / HNTDA / Corporation
3. Key Responsibilities
- Project Management: Lead and manage l engineering projects from initial conception through to completion, including site development, infrastructure upgrades, facility expansion, and utility management.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of civil engineers, project coordinators, and technicians, providing guidance and fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Budget and Schedule Management: Develop project budgets, track costs, and ensure that projects are completed within allocated budgets and timelines. Identify potential risks and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Design and Planning: Review and approve engineering designs, plans, and specifications. Ensure designs comply with local codes, regulations, and company standards.
- Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams: Work closely with production, operations, and safety teams to align civil engineering initiatives with the manufacturing operations and overall company goals.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure that all civil engineering activities adhere to industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines. Champion safety initiatives within the engineering team and across project sites.
- Vendor and Contractor Management: Select and manage external vendors, contractors, and consultants, ensuring that services and deliverables meet company expectations in terms of quality, cost, and timelines.
- Quality Control: Monitor project progress and quality standards throughout all phases, making necessary adjustments to achieve the desired outcomes.
- Reporting and Documentation: Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on project status, budget performance, and any issues requiring resolution.
- Preparation of Layouts / drawings for the entire factory
- Support for new constructions – Scheduling / supervision and delivery
Work Experience
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Expertise in project management, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Solid understanding of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and industry best practices.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management - engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D) and project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
- In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.
- Diploma / Degree in civil engineering ( with MBA is preferable ) with eight to 10 years of experience in industries
- Good knowledge on Maintenance / Utility related to Civil engineering
- Knowledge on NBC / other standards related to construction and structural engineering
- Good communication and analytical skills
- Knowledge in architectural aspects
- High interpersonal skills
Knowledge on both green and brown field projects / statutory compliance / approvals
