Job Summary
SPID Society is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Outreach Worker to support the care, protection, rehabilitation, and reintegration of children residing in the Child Care Institution (Boys Home). The Outreach Worker will be responsible for conducting home visits, family assessments, preparing case-related reports, coordinating restoration and rehabilitation services, facilitating access to government schemes, mobilizing community resources, and ensuring effective follow-up of children in accordance with the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015 and organizational policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct home visits and family assessments.
- Prepare Social Investigation Reports and Home Study Reports.
- Coordinate restoration and rehabilitation processes.
- Liaise with schools, employers, NGOs, health institutions, and government departments.
- Assist children in accessing government schemes and entitlements.
- Conduct follow-up visits after restoration.
- Organize community awareness programmes on child protection.
- Support vocational training and livelihood linkages.
- Maintain documentation of field visits and case progress.
- Coordinate sponsorship, foster care, and aftercare services.
- Mobilize community resources for rehabilitation.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work (BSW), Psychology, Sociology, Humanities, or a related field.
- Knowledge of child protection systems and the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015.
- Good communication, counselling, and coordination skills.
- Basic knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and email communication.
- Strong documentation and report-writing skills.
- Experience in NGO/social sector or child protection programmes will be an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in child protection, child welfare, community outreach, case management, or working with Child Care Institutions (CCIs) is preferred.
Salary
- Salary will be based on experience and interview performance.
