Registered Nurse - Transplant Responsibilities & Duties
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative care to transplant patients
- Monitor and assess patients' conditions and vital signs
- Administer medications, including immunosuppressive therapies
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Educate patients and their families about the transplant process and post-operative care
- Prepare patients for surgical procedures and assist during surgeries when necessary
- Perform wound care and manage surgical drains
- Administer blood transfusions and manage other IV therapies
- Recognize and respond to signs of transplant rejection and other complications
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families throughout the transplant journey
- Participate in ongoing education and training in transplant nursing and related fields
- Assist in research and data collection for transplant programs
Registered Nurse - Transplant Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field
- Certification in transplant nursing (CCTN)
- At least two years of experience in a transplant or critical care setting
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
- Experience with patient education and counseling
- Knowledge of immunosuppressive therapies and transplant-specific medications
- Commitment to continuous professional development
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
- Associate's degree in nursing from an accredited nursing program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-stress environment
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong commitment to patient-centered care
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
