We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented professional to join our Coin Blanking Line (Quality) team in the role of Lead (Process Control & Failure Analysis).
Job Purpose:
We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented professional for the Quality Assurance department for the Coin Blanking Line at Jindal Stainless Limited. This role demands a strategic thinker with extensive expertise in quality control processes, metallurgical standards, and production line optimization. The successful candidate will oversee the implementation of rigorous quality standards, ensure compliance with industry regulations, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency. This leadership position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to maintain the highest standards of stainless steel coin blank production, ensuring defect-free output and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Quality Assurance team for the Coin Blanking Line, ensuring adherence to company and industry quality standards.
- Develop, implement, and monitor quality control procedures and inspection protocols specific to stainless steel coin blanking processes.
- Conduct root cause analysis and lead corrective and preventive action (CAPA) initiatives to address quality issues and minimize defects.
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to optimize process parameters and improve product quality and yield.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and metallurgical standards applicable to the Mining & Metals industry.
- Oversee the documentation and reporting of quality metrics, audit results, and process deviations to senior management.
- Drive continuous improvement projects using Lean Six Sigma or similar methodologies to enhance operational efficiency and reduce waste.
- Train and mentor QA team members on best practices, quality tools, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely spares procurement & calibrations of the equipment.
- Manage internal and external quality audits and implement recommendations to maintain certification and compliance.
Qualifications & Experience: B Tech. in Metallurgy/ Mechanical with minimum 6 to 8yrs of experience
