2. Key Responsibilities
A. Patient Care
* Provide direct nursing care based on patient needs and medical instructions.
* Monitor vital signs (BP, pulse, temperature, respiration, SPO₂).
* Administer medications as prescribed (oral, IV, IM, SC, etc.).
* Assist in procedures, dressing changes, catheterization, and wound care.
* Maintain hygiene, comfort, and mobility of patients.
* Prepare patients for procedures, surgeries, and diagnostic tests.
* Ensure safe handling of biomedical waste as per regulations.
B. Clinical Responsibilities
* Record and report changes in patient conditions.
* Respond promptly to emergencies (CPR, Code Blue, etc.).
* Assist doctors during rounds and execute treatment orders.
* Maintain sterility and follow infection control protocols.
* Perform nursing assessments and prepare care plans.
C. Documentation & Reporting
* Maintain accurate nursing notes, patient records, and charts.
* Document medications administered and nursing interventions.
* Ensure proper handover at shift changes.
D. Patient & Family Education
* Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care.
* Provide emotional and psychological support.
E. Administrative Duties
* Maintain stock of medicines, consumables, and equipment.
* Ensure equipment is functioning and report issues.
* Follow hospital policies, safety guidelines, and quality standards.
