Position: CSSD Technician
Department: Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD)
Job Summary:
Responsible for the cleaning, disinfection, sterilization, packing, storage, and distribution of surgical instruments and medical equipment while ensuring compliance with infection control practices and hospital policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean, inspect, pack, and sterilize medical instruments and equipment.
- Operate autoclaves and other sterilization equipment as per SOPs.
- Maintain sterilization records and documentation.
- Prepare and issue sterile packs to OT, ICU, wards, and other departments.
- Ensure proper storage and inventory of sterile supplies.
- Follow infection control, safety, and NABH guidelines.
- Report damaged instruments and equipment malfunctions.
Qualification:
Diploma/Certificate in CSSD Technology / Operation Theatre Technology or equivalent.
Experience:
0–3 years of experience in CSSD operations in a hospital setting.
Skills:
Knowledge of sterilization procedures, infection control practices, attention to detail, and record maintenance.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
