Job Title: Plumbing & Fire Fighting Draftsman

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Plumbing & Fire Fighting Draftsman to join our growing MEP engineering consultancy. The ideal candidate will translate conceptual engineering designs into detailed, precise working drawings, shop drawings, and coordinated layouts. You will collaborate closely with our design engineers and project managers to ensure all building services strictly comply with safety codes and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Drafting & Design
- Plumbing: Draft internal/external sanitary layouts, water supply schematics, drainage, rainwater harvesting, and storm water drainage networks.
- Fire Fighting: Develop layouts for fire alarm systems, sprinkler systems, hydrant networks, hose reels, and fire pump rooms.
- Detail tank layouts, underground and overhead water tank sections, and pipe sleeve details.
- Generate accurate "as-built" drawings based on site conditions and installation updates.
MEP Coordination
- Prepare coordinated MEP drawings to resolve clashes and integrate plumbing and fire-fighting services with HVAC, electrical, structural, and architectural disciplines.
- Review tender/design drawings and incorporate comments from engineers and clients.
- Create Builder’s Work drawings (BWD) such as cutouts, sleeves, and shaft schedules.
Quantity & Compliance
- Assist the engineering team with quantity take-offs (BOQ) and material schedules from approved drawings.
- Ensure all designs and drafted layouts adhere to the National Building Code (NBC), local authority norms, and relevant industry standards.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Diploma in Mechanical/Civil Engineering or ITI in Draughtsman ship.
- Experience: Minimum 2 to 5 years of proven drafting experience specifically in Plumbing and Fire Fighting systems within an MEP consulting firm.
- Software Proficiency: Expert knowledge of AutoCAD is mandatory. Working knowledge of Revit MEP, Navisworks, or ZWCAD will be a strong advantage.
- Strong understanding of pipe sizing, pump head calculations, and general hydraulic principles.
- High attention to detail, strong spatial visualization, and excellent communication skills to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
