Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage end-to-end accounting operations, statutory compliances, taxation matters, and team supervision. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, timely compliance, handling departmental notices, and leading the accounts team to achieve operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle day-to-day accounting activities, including journal entries, ledger scrutiny, vouchers, and bookkeeping.
- Review and monitor accounting transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation activities.
- Manage end-to-end finalisation of accounts and preparation of financial statements.
- Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.
- Ensure timely preparation of MIS reports and financial reports for management review.
- Prepare and file Income Tax Returns for companies, directors, firms, and other entities as applicable.
- Handle tax computations and ensure compliance with applicable Income Tax provisions.
- Coordinate with consultants and authorities regarding taxation matters.
- Manage GST compliance, including GST return preparation, reconciliation, and filing within prescribed timelines.
- Handle TDS calculations, deductions, return filings, and statutory reporting requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable statutory regulations and deadlines.
- Draft, prepare, and coordinate replies to notices received from Income Tax, GST, TDS, and other regulatory authorities.
- Liaise with consultants, auditors, and government departments for notice resolution and assessments.
- Maintain complete documentation relating to notices and departmental correspondence.
- Lead, guide, and supervise the Accounts team.
- Allocate work responsibilities and monitor team productivity.
- Review team deliverables to ensure accuracy and timely completion.
- Provide training, mentoring, and performance feedback to team members.
- Maintain proper accounting records, supporting documents, and audit-ready files.
- Ensure systematic filing of digital and physical documents.
- Strengthen accounting processes and implement process improvements wherever required.
Required Qualifications
- CA Inter / M.Com / B.Com with relevant experience.
- 4–8 years of experience in accounting, taxation, and compliance.
- Strong knowledge of Finalisation of Accounts, GST, TDS, and Income Tax.
- Experience in handling statutory notices and assessments.
- Proficiency in Tally, MS Excel, and accounting software.
- Leadership and team management capabilities.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
