Position Overview
SKYPLAY IPTV Services Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a results-oriented Area Sales Manager (ASM) to drive business growth, expand the subscriber base, and strengthen the company's market presence within the assigned territory. The ideal candidate will lead channel development, manage distributor and partner relationships, identify new business opportunities, and execute sales strategies that deliver sustainable revenue growth while ensuring an excellent customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Growth
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and revenue targets.
- Increase subscriber acquisition and market penetration.
- Develop and execute territory sales plans aligned with business objectives.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand revenue streams.
- Implement sales initiatives to improve brand visibility and market share.
Channel Development
- Appoint, develop, and manage distributors, dealers, retailers, and channel partners.
- Build strong, long-term relationships to improve partner productivity.
- Conduct regular product and sales training for channel partners.
- Monitor partner performance and implement improvement plans where required.
Market Development
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.
- Recommend and execute sales and promotional initiatives.
- Coordinate local marketing campaigns, product demonstrations, and promotional events.
- Provide market intelligence and business insights to management.
Customer Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers and business partners.
- Ensure timely resolution of customer concerns in coordination with technical and customer support teams.
- Promote customer satisfaction, loyalty, and long-term retention.
Team Leadership
- Lead, coach, and motivate Sales Executives and field sales teams.
- Monitor individual and team performance against defined KPIs.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Operations & Reporting
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipelines, and performance reports.
- Monitor collections and ensure timely payments from channel partners.
- Manage territory expenses effectively.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and sales processes.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Achievement of sales and revenue targets.
- Growth in subscriber acquisition.
- Expansion and productivity of the channel partner network.
- Market share growth within the assigned territory.
- Customer satisfaction and retention.
- Collection efficiency.
- Forecast accuracy and timely reporting.
- Effective execution of sales and marketing initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, or a related field.
- MBA in Marketing or Sales Management is preferred.
Experience
- 5–8 years of experience in Sales, Business Development, or Channel Sales.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an Area Sales Manager or Territory Sales Manager role.
- Experience in IPTV, Broadband, Telecom, ISP, OTT, Digital Services, Consumer Electronics, or related technology industries is preferred.
