Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and responsible SNK Operator to operate SNK (Plano Miller / Double Column Machining Center) machines efficiently for heavy and precision components. The candidate will be responsible for machine setup, alignment, tool setting, machining operations, and maintaining dimensional accuracy as per engineering drawings and specifications.
Hands-on experience in operating SNK / Plano Milling machines is mandatory for this role.
Key Responsibilities
Machine Operation & Setup
Operate SNK / Plano Miller machine as per production plan
Set tools, fixtures, and work offsets before machining
Align heavy components properly for accurate machining
Monitor machining cycles and ensure smooth operations
Perform tool changes and minor parameter adjustments as required
Maintain daily production and machine log records
Ensure timely achievement of production targets
Quality Control & Inspection
Read and understand engineering drawings and tolerances
Use measuring instruments (Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Dial Gauge, Bore Gauge)
Perform in-process and final inspection
Maintain dimensional accuracy for heavy fabrication parts
Report any deviation, tool wear, or rejection immediately
Machine Maintenance & Safety
Perform basic preventive maintenance and machine cleaning
Ensure proper lubrication and coolant levels
Handle heavy components safely using proper lifting tools
Follow safety guidelines and PPE compliance strictly
Adhere to company SOP and shop floor discipline
Required Skills (Mandatory & Preferred)
Mandatory:
SNK / Plano Milling Machine Operation, Heavy Component Machining, Tool Setting, Reading Engineering Drawings, Measuring Instruments Handling
Preferred:
Basic knowledge of CNC controls (Fanuc/Siemens), Understanding of cutting parameters for heavy machining, SAP/ERP knowledge, Team coordination
Qualification
ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering preferred
Experience
2–6 years of experience as SNK / Plano Miller Operator
Experience in heavy fabrication / industrial manufacturing preferred

Salary: ₹20,000 – ₹35,000 per month (Based on experience & skill level)
