Role OverviewAn IT Generalist keeps the company’s technology running and steadily improving — the accounts people log in with, the laptops they work on, the apps the business pays for, and the support they need when something breaks. As our first dedicated IT hire, you will own hands-on operations across a broad range of areas and help the organization mature its practices over time, spanning identity and access, SaaS and vendor management, endpoints, security and data protection, network and infrastructure, helpdesk, and governance and compliance. You will report to the CTO and work onsite.Key Responsibilities
- Manage user accounts, groups, and access across email, SSO, and core business apps — onboarding, offboarding, and permission changes
- Administer the company’s SaaS tools and vendors — track licenses, renewals, owners, and periodic access reviews
- Set up, image, deploy, and maintain laptops and other endpoints, including patching and configuration
- Handle physical IT assets — procurement, inventory, tagging, storage, issuance, and retrieval
- Provide first-line support and helpdesk for employees, escalating complex issues as needed
- Apply security and data-protection basics — MFA, endpoint protection, backups, and access hygiene
- Support office network and infrastructure — Wi-Fi, switches, VPN, and basic troubleshooting
- Draft, maintain, and enforce IT policies and documentation — acceptable use, access, and onboarding runbooks
- Help the organization adopt stronger governance and compliance practices over time
Required Skills
- Solid grasp of identity and access management — account lifecycle, SSO/MFA, least-privilege access
- Hands-on endpoint management for Windows and macOS — imaging, MDM, patching, troubleshooting
- Working knowledge of common SaaS admin consoles (e.g., Google Workspace or Microsoft 365)
- Comfort with core networking concepts — TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Wi-Fi
- Strong helpdesk and service skills — clear communication with non-technical staff
- Organized and self-directed — able to document, follow, and improve process
- Basic scripting (PowerShell, Bash, or Python) is a plus
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience)
- Certifications (preferred but not always required):
- CompTIA A+ / Network+ / Security+
- Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace administration
- ITIL Foundation
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
