VMC Operator (1+ Year Experience)
Job Summary:
We are seeking skilled and dedicated VMC (Vertical Machining Center) Operators with a minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in CNC/VMC machining. The ideal candidate should be capable of independently operating machines, ensuring precision, and maintaining production quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate VMC/CNC machines efficiently to meet production targets
- Set up workpieces, fixtures, and tools as per job requirements
- Perform tool setting, offset adjustments, and basic programming edits (if required)
- Interpret engineering drawings and job specifications
- Inspect finished components using measuring instruments (Vernier caliper, micrometer, gauges)
- Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot minor issues
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and tolerances
- Maintain proper documentation of production and inspection reports
- Follow safety protocols and maintain cleanliness of the work area
Eligibility & Requirements:
- Minimum qualification: 10th / 12th pass or ITI (Machinist / Turner / Fitter preferred)
- Minimum 1 year experience as a VMC/CNC Operator
- Basic knowledge of CNC machine operations and tooling
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- Familiarity with measuring instruments and quality inspection
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Physically fit and willing to work in shifts
- Disciplined, punctual, and team-oriented
Preferred Skills:
- Basic CNC programming knowledge (G-code understanding)
- Experience with different materials (steel, aluminum, etc.)
- Knowledge of preventive machine maintenance
