Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Training
- Conduct Carnatic vocal and instrumental classes for beginners, intermediate, and advanced students.
- Teach fundamental and advanced concepts including Sarali Varisai, Janta Varisai, Alankarams, Geethams, Varnams, Kritis, and Manodharma Sangeetham.
- Provide individual and group instruction based on student needs.
- Guide students in voice culture, shruti alignment, tala practice, and performance techniques.
Curriculum Planning
- Prepare lesson plans and structured course materials.
- Design practice exercises and assignments for students.
- Monitor student progress and maintain performance records.
- Conduct regular assessments and provide constructive feedback.
Performance & Events
- Prepare students for stage performances, competitions, and examinations.
- Organize music workshops, recitals, and cultural programs.
- Accompany and mentor students during public performances.
Student Development
- Encourage disciplined practice habits.
- Motivate students to develop confidence and musical creativity.
- Support students in achieving certification and examination goals.
Required Qualifications
- Certification, Diploma, Degree, or equivalent training in Carnatic Music.
- Strong knowledge of Carnatic Vocal Music and at least one Carnatic Instrument (Violin, Veena, Flute, Mridangam, Keyboard, etc.).
- Previous teaching experience is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to teach students of different age groups.
Preferred Skills
- Proficiency in both theory and practical aspects of Carnatic Music.
- Strong understanding of ragas, talas, and classical compositions.
- Ability to prepare students for music examinations and performances.
- Good classroom management and organizational skills.
- Passion for preserving and promoting Indian classical music.
