Job Summary
The Digital Marketplace Development Executive is responsible for expanding the company’s digital marketplace by onboarding sellers, developing partnerships, increasing platform adoption, and driving business growth through digital commerce initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
· Identify and meet local shops, retailers, distributors, restaurants, and brands to explain the platform and close partnerships.
· Onboard sellers onto the digital marketplace and assist with product listings, pricing, stock updates, and catalog creation.
· Train sellers and store staff on platform usage, order management, offers, and digital payment processes.
· Develop and implement seller acquisition and marketplace growth strategies.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with sellers and business partners to improve retention and engagement.
· Monitor marketplace performance, sales trends, GMV, active sellers, and service quality metrics.
· Coordinate with operations, marketing, and product teams to resolve onboarding and operational issues.
· Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify business opportunities.
· Ensure KYC, GST, FSSAI, and other compliance documents are collected and maintained.
· Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports and present business performance updates to management.
· Support digital marketing campaigns and local activation programs to increase marketplace adoption.
· Travel within assigned territories to onboard and support business partners.
Required Skills
· Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
· Strong business development and relationship management abilities.
· Good understanding of e-commerce and digital marketplace operations.
· Proficiency in MS Excel, Google Sheets, and reporting tools.
· Analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to work independently and achieve business targets.
· Willingness to travel extensively for business development activities.
Qualification & Experience:
MBA or Master's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, E-Commerce, or a related field. 3–5 years of experience in E-Commerce, Marketplace Development, Business Development, or Digital Sales. Experience in seller onboarding and digital marketplace operations is preferred.
