Job Summary
The TIG Welding Operator is responsible for performing high-quality TIG welding on metal components as per technical drawings and production requirements while ensuring safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
· Perform TIG welding on stainless steel, aluminum, and other metals.
· Read and understand technical drawings, welding symbols, and specifications.
· Set up and operate TIG welding machines and related equipment.
· Prepare materials by cleaning, grinding, and aligning components before welding.
· Maintain proper welding parameters such as current, voltage, and gas flow.
· Inspect welded joints to ensure strength, quality, and finish.
· Repair or rework defective welds if required.
· Follow safety rules and use proper PPE during welding operations.
· Maintain cleanliness of machines, tools, and workplace.
· Coordinate with supervisors and quality inspectors to meet production targets.
Skills Required
· Strong knowledge of TIG welding techniques.
· Ability to weld thin metal sheets and precision components.
· Knowledge of welding safety and quality standards.
· Ability to read fabrication drawings.
· Good attention to detail and manual skills.
Key Requirements
· 1–3 years experience in TIG welding.
· Experience working with stainless steel or aluminum welding preferred.
· Ability to work in production shifts if required.
