Akkineni Family, is one of India's first private, non-profit Film and Media School. The college is
affiliated with Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture and Fine Arts University (JNAFAU) and is a Full-
time CILECT Member. Annapurna College offers Undergraduate & Postgraduate Degree
Programs that focus on teaching filmmaking, providing students with Dual Specialisation options
and mentorship by industry experts.
Key Responsibilities:

Teach undergraduate and postgraduate students in Direction

Develop and deliver engaging, industry-relevant curricula

Mentor students on practical assignments and projects

Evaluate student work and provide constructive feedback

Stay updated with industry trends, tools, and techniques

Contribute to curriculum development and program enhancement

Participate in faculty meetings, events, and open house initiatives

Collaborate with peers from other departments (Cinematography, Editing, Sound Design, etc.)
Required Qualifications:

Degree in Film Direction or a related field (Master’s preferred)

Proven industry experience as a director, writer, or assistant in film, TV, or digital media

Strong storytelling, script development, and/or directing sensibility

Excellent communication and classroom management skills

Passion for teaching, mentoring, and working with young creatives
Preferred:

Teaching experience at a film or media school

Work credited in produced films, web series, or TV shows

Exposure to academic curriculum design and interdisciplinary projects

Minimum experience of 8-10 years in industry and / or academia
