CMM Operator cum Programmer

About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented CMM Operator cum Programmer to join our Quality team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and programming ZEISS Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) using CALYPSO software to inspect automotive components and ensure compliance with customer specifications and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate ZEISS CMM machines for dimensional inspection of machined and manufactured components.
- Create, modify, and execute inspection programs using CALYPSO software.
- Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and customer specifications.
- Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections.
- Analyze inspection results and prepare dimensional inspection reports.
- Verify measurement accuracy through machine calibration and verification procedures.
- Maintain inspection records in compliance with IATF 16949 quality standards.
- Support production and quality teams in resolving dimensional and process-related issues.
- Assist in Gauge R&R, process capability studies, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure proper maintenance of measuring instruments and adherence to safety standards.
Required Skills
- 1–3 years of experience in CMM operation and programming.
- Freshers with hands-on training in ZEISS CMM and CALYPSO are encouraged to apply.
- Knowledge of ZEISS CMM systems and CALYPSO programming.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Experience using precision measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and bore gauges.
- Basic proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word.
- Knowledge of IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, MSA, and SPC.
- Good analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
