Job Summary
The Social Media Manager will be responsible for planning, creating, managing, and executing the hospital's digital and social media strategy to strengthen brand awareness, promote healthcare services, educate the public, and generate patient engagement. The role requires creativity, strategic thinking, and the ability to communicate healthcare information in a professional and ethical manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the hospital's official social media accounts, including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and other digital platforms.
- Develop and implement monthly social media content calendars.
- Ensure consistent branding across all online platforms.
- Monitor social media trends and implement innovative marketing ideas.
- Create engaging posts, reels, stories, graphics, and videos for social media.
- Coordinate with doctors and departments to create educational healthcare content.
- Write compelling captions and promotional content for hospital services, health awareness campaigns, and special events.
- Cover hospital events, camps, celebrations, and achievements through digital content.
- Plan and execute paid social media campaigns to increase patient inquiries and hospital visibility.
- Promote OPD services, health packages, diagnostic services, surgeries, and community health initiatives.
- Optimize campaigns for maximum reach and engagement.
- Respond promptly to comments, messages, and patient inquiries on social media.
- Maintain a positive online reputation for the hospital.
- Escalate patient complaints or sensitive issues to the concerned department.
- Capture high-quality photographs and videos of hospital facilities, doctors, events, and patient awareness activities.
- Edit images and videos for social media and promotional campaigns.
- Monitor social media analytics and prepare weekly and monthly performance reports.
- Track engagement, reach, follower growth, lead generation, and campaign effectiveness.
- Suggest improvements based on data and performance metrics.
- Promote hospital achievements, awards, success stories, testimonials, and CSR activities.
- Coordinate with designers, photographers, and marketing vendors whenever required.
- Ensure all published content complies with hospital policies and medical ethics.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, Journalism, Digital Marketing, or a related field.
- Certification in Digital Marketing or Social Media Marketing will be an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in social media management or digital marketing.
- Experience in the healthcare or hospital sector is preferred.
Required Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Google Business Profile.
- Proficiency in Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro, CapCut, or similar editing tools.
- Knowledge of Meta Ads, Google Ads, SEO, and social media analytics.
- Creative thinking with strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Working Hours
As per hospital policy and operational requirements. Additional hours may be required during health camps, special events, emergencies, or promotional campaigns.
Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
