We are seeking an experienced Senior Magento Developer to architect, build, and maintain high-performance eCommerce solutions for our diverse client portfolio. In this role, you will collaborate closely with designers, project managers, and QA engineers to deliver scalable, secure, and visually compelling online stores. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Magento 2 development, a passion for clean code, and a solid understanding of the full eCommerce lifecycle.
What You'll Do
- Partner with design and strategy teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Develop, configure, and optimize Magento 2.x eCommerce websites and multi-store environments
- Build custom modules and extend core functionality using modern PHP standards and best practices
- Develop responsive, pixel-perfect themes and front-end interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Monitor site performance, conduct load testing, and implement optimization strategies
- Diagnose and resolve integration challenges with third-party APIs, ERPs, and payment gateways
- Maintain code quality through version control, code reviews, and automated testing
- Apply security patches and version updates to keep platforms secure and compliant
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience)
- 4+ years of hands-on Magento 2 development experience, including custom module and theme development
- Strong proficiency in PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and the Magento architecture (dependency injection, plugins, preferences)
- Experience managing the complete eCommerce development lifecycle, from discovery to deployment
- Familiarity with modern UI/UX principles and responsive design frameworks
- Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator for asset handling and minor edits
- Experience with Git, Composer, and deployment workflows
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team mindset
Nice to Have
- Magento 2 Certified Professional Developer certification
- Experience with Adobe Commerce (Enterprise) features (B2B, Page Builder, Live Search)
- Familiarity with cloud hosting environments (AWS, Adobe Commerce Cloud)
- Knowledge of Progressive Web Apps (PWA) or headless commerce architectures
- Experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, or automated testing frameworks
