Job Title: Store Incharge

Job Summary
The Store Incharge will be responsible for managing the entire store operations related to automobile spare parts, nuts, bolts, fasteners, consumables, and other engineering items. The role includes inventory control, material receipt and dispatch, maintaining stock records, and ensuring proper storage and handling of materials to support uninterrupted production and maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities1. Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate records of automobile spare parts, nuts, bolts, fasteners, and other mechanical components in the store.
- Monitor stock levels, minimum stock, reorder levels, and safety stock.
- Conduct periodic stock verification and reconciliation.
- Ensure proper FIFO / FEFO inventory management practices.
2. Material Receipt and Inspection
- Verify materials received against purchase orders, delivery challans, and invoices.
- Inspect received items for quantity, specification, and quality compliance.
- Coordinate with purchase and quality departments for discrepancies or damaged items.
3. Material Issue and Dispatch
- Issue materials to production/maintenance departments as per approved requisitions.
- Maintain proper documentation for material issue, return, and transfer.
- Ensure timely dispatch of spare parts and equipment when required.
4. Documentation and Record Keeping
- Maintain GRN (Goods Receipt Note), stock registers, bin cards, and inventory records.
- Update stock in ERP / inventory management systems / spreadsheets.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly stock reports.
5. Store Organization and Safety
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and identification of items in racks and bins.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization of the store area.
- Ensure compliance with safety practices and proper handling of materials.
6. Coordination
- Coordinate with purchase, production, maintenance, and accounts departments.
- Assist procurement team in identifying fast-moving and slow-moving items.
- Support audits by providing accurate stock and documentation records.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Commerce, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of experience in store management dealing with automobile spare parts, nuts, bolts, fasteners, and engineering materials.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of automobile spare parts and hardware components.
- Good understanding of inventory control and store management practices.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, inventory software, or Excel-based stock management.
- Ability to identify different types of nuts, bolts, fasteners, and mechanical components.
- Good organizational and documentation skills.
- Basic knowledge of procurement and supply chain processes.
